These seeds are fresh, open pollinated, non GMO, heirloom seeds.

A quick growing herb that grows well in hot weather, its young, succulent, leaves add zest and diversity to salads and stir-fries. Older leaves are used in soups, stews etc.and theolder stems can be pickled. Rich in vitamin C and an excellent source ofnatural antioxidants, purslane is suitable for growing in all areas.

In Mexican cuisine it is used as a vegetable to accompany “Puerco en salsa verde” Pork in green sauce. Verdolaga contains more omega-3 fatty acids (alpha linolenic acid in particular) than any other leaf vegetable plant.

Those wishing to experiment with “bush foods” should find it easy to grow provided adequate moisture is available. It is best grown in well drained soils. Once established the leaves can be harvested at any time.
